Wigwam Holidays is the UK’s number 1 glamping brand and one of the leading vendors in the European glamping market. The company launched back in 2000 - back when no-one had really heard of 'glamping'! They have one simple core purpose: to provide Great Holidays in the Great Outdoors, and it's this simple promise that keeps visitors coming back time and again with the promise of low cost, high quality holidays. 

Client brief

We first met Charles Gulland, the Owner and Founder of Wigwam Holidays and its sister company Wigwam Cablins, back in 2008. Charles was looking to develop his own in house online booking system to allow customers from all over the world to book glamping across his network of glamping sites around the UK.

The sites are all independently owned and Wigeam Holidays needed to develop a public online booking system, a management portal for head office staff and a portal for the site owners to view and manage their bookings

Software functionality and application

Admin Site (Backend for Wigwam Holidays HQ Staff)

• Cloud-based system with password-restricted access 
• Setup and manage locations, activities, seasons and prices
• Setup and manage discounts and promotions
• Manage availability, bookings and closures
• View daily/weekly schedule in calendar and list/diary formats
• Set up and manage e-mail templates for reservation, confirmation, cancellation etc
• View reports on bookings and payments by location and date
• Record booking commissions and send invoices to Site Owner

Public Booking

• Fully mobile-responsive design
• Customer selects dates, location, accommodation 
• Customer enters their own details and the required details for each child to complete a provisional booking
• Booking can be paid by credit/debit card through Stripe.  The booking is confirmed and a confirmation e-mail sent out

Site Owner Portal

• Cloud-based system with password-restricted access 
• View and manage bookings
• View commissions, payments and balances due

Gift Voucher Purchasing and Redemption

• Allow online purchase of Wigwam Holidays branded gift vouchers in various £ amounts
• Delivery of gift voucher either by email or by post
• Vouchers can be redeemed via the Wigeam Holidays online booking system
• Gift vouchers expire after 12 months
